Since the 1980s, multi-faceted Bob Smith has been involved with pro wrestling - but his love of the classic days of the mat sport has never waned. His journalism career began in the early 1980s as he won both news and sports writing awards for his work with The Catskill Daily Mail newspaper - the latter for a classic interview with boxer Mike Tyson. He later came to national prominence as an editor and writer for Pro Wrestling Illustrated, Inside Wrestling, and the host of London Publishing magazines in the late 80s and early 90s. Appearances on several wrestling TV shows followed (he even was the host of the first Eastern Championship Wrestling broadcasts - which soon became ECW), and had stints with Wrestling's Main Event and WCW magazines. Smith was the co-host of a wrestling podcast in 2021 and 2022, and now he branches out on his own. "The idea is to have fun with the classics," said Smith. "We'll be different, that's for sure."
